Lucy Cotter is an Irish art critic, based in Amsterdam. She is a contributor and forthcoming guest editor of the London-based Third Text. She was awarded the Critical Voices Award 2003 and the Critical Reflection Award 2004 by the Arts Council of Ireland. Alongside an independent art writing and lecturing practice, she will lecture part-time in art theory at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2005. Her research interests include issues surrounding cultural translation, cultural decolonisation and critical art practices in the age of globalisation.
